However fragmented the world, however intense the national rivalries, it is an inexorable fact that we become more interdependent every day. Jacques Yves Cousteau

The Story of Free the Pod continues due to never forgetting the great sacrifice that the dolphins gave. They got caught up in the politics of humans, that turned out to be more about the humans than the dolphins.

Below is the complete story of Free the Pod from the perspective of the staff, fishermen and myself. This is in far contrast from the Hollywood Version which you can watch here.
The Vision of creating the "modern aquarium" in the oceans themselves continues. ORCA is a registered BC Non-Profit whose mission is to ensure more focus is placed on wild orcas and not captive orcas.

One by one we will change how animals are cared and defended by the public. The key is never to give up and NEVER FORGET!

Thanks as always for your support.

Where is the Pod?

The animals are currently based at a 40 acre tropical pacific island in the Solomon Islands.

Their current home is a large harbour of Gavutu Island, a famous World War 2 base.

Dolphins Paradise is a proud supporter of Free the Pod.

Basis of Free The Pod

Dolphins and Whales are the clans of the sea and humans, as the clans of the land, have not fully compromised each of our needs and expectations of the other. Whaling debates are prevalent in International Relations and in such cases as Japan and Australia, threaten to destabilize peaceful discussions over such matters as trade and commerce. Each Country has the right to utilize natural resources in the matter they deem right and sustainable. It is our human right to assure that these needs are presented and maintained in a peaceful matter assuring that all sides of the equation are equal including the whales and dolphins.

Below is a list of the main objectives of Free The Pod:

1Integrated Release: processed release program of the dolphins to the wild in partnership with public follow-up.

2Hunting Alternatives: providing alternative sources of income for dolphin hunting and collecting communities.

3Enhanced Research: provide a broader base of research opportunities of animals interaction with man.

4Increased Tourism: decrease dependancy on hunting and collecting of animals through increase tourist activities.

5Community Development: provision of continual support for local villages church, school and health needs.

6International Dialogue: sparking and facilitating conversations on an umbrella approach of cetacean management.

What should Vancouver do?

Vancouverites won’t be voting on the fate of the Vancouver Aquarium’s whales and dolphins in the next civic election, but changes to the facility’s expansion plans could put the issue in front of the park board sooner than the scheduled date of 2015.
